AvCon, the premier aviation event organiser, is thrilled to announce the launch of “The Future of Aviation” event, scheduled to take place on November 7th, 2024, at the prestigious Irish Air Corps in Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel, Co. Dublin.
AvCon – The Future of Aviation event took flight in the morning of May 7th, 2024, captivating secondary schools across Ireland. The enthusiastic response was overwhelming, as over 3500 Transition Year students eagerly registered through their schools to participate in AvCon 2024 within the first 24 hours.
This ground breaking event aims to showcase the dynamic world of aviation and its myriad career opportunities to over 6,000 enthusiastic students from primary to tertiary education levels, with a special focus on Transition Year students.
Fiona O’Sullivan, the passionate event organiser, envisioned bringing the thrill and excitement of aviation directly to the next generation. “We want students to not just learn about aviation but to experience it first-hand – to smell it, breathe it, touch it, and feel it,” Fiona remarked. “This event will immerse them in the fascinating world of aviation through interactive exhibits and experiences.”
With the invaluable collaboration of TYHub.ie, The Irish Air Corps, and support from leading aviation entities in Ireland and abroad, AvCon has meticulously crafted an event that promises to ignite curiosity and passion in students who may have never considered a career in aviation before.

AvCon’s “The Future of Aviation” event will be open exclusively to schools, with group bookings available. Described as the Comic Con event of Aviation, this unique gathering will feature over 100 exhibitors, offering a comprehensive insight into the multifaceted world of aviation.
The day’s festivities will be kicked off by the dynamic duo of Ally Garvey and Karl Bowe, who will serve as hosts for AvCon Talks on the Main Stage, welcoming students and guiding them through the exciting lineup of events.
