Our Story
Founded in 2007, Shannon Aviation Museum has grown wings since its founding. Here at Shannon Aviation Museum, we strive to give people the love for aviation that they just haven’t found yet. Across the generations, everybody enjoys themselves when they visit and get into the spirit of things, aviation is a universal and ageless language! Our goal here at the museum is to inspire and educate as many people as we can about the world of aviation as a whole, from flight simulation experiences, to the history of flight, the development of aviation technology and everything in between.
What we are
Shannon Aviation Museum is an exciting and interactive Aviation Museum, Education Centre and Flight Simulation Centre located in Shannon Co Clare. More than just a fun attraction, it’s an interactive learning hub. We provide fun and educational real-world based lessons, great for both adults and children who are curious to know more about the fascinating world of flight.
We provide educational programmes to children of all ages, in many different ways – through the Scouting Ireland Air Activities Skills Badge, DPSM Programmes, TY Aviation Career Field Trips & more.
