The Irish Air Corps

The Air Corps’ role is to deliver the air power contribution to the defence and security of the State. We can offer you a wide variety of career paths in military aviation. Whether you are a school leaver or a graduate, we have a role for you.

Check out Military.ie about all of the career options available to you.

The Irish Air Corps also runs TY Work Experience weeks during Transition Year calendar, these places are limited and highly sought after. We advise teachers or parents to get in touch with the Air Corps TY Coordinator in August before starting the TY Academic year. This is something you will want to start planning in 3rd Year.

TYHub.ie has had the privilege to host the Sky Adventure Live Podcast with The Irish Air Corps and has a 10 episode series to give you and your students a look into Careers in the Irish Air Corps. We were also proud to be part of the AvCon 2024 team were TYHub hosted the Let’s Talk Main Stage LIVE Stream, this was part of the very first AvCon on November 7th, in Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel, the home of the Irish Air Corps.

Check out the TY Hub Podcast Page & AvCon.ie for more about these.

“The Irish Air Corps takes great pride in its collaboration with TY Hub, a partnership that has significantly enhanced our outreach efforts to educate and inspire the youth of Ireland about career opportunities that serve both their community and their country.

Working with TY Hub has allowed us to engage with young people in a meaningful and impactful way. The programs and initiatives developed through this partnership have provided students with valuable insights into the diverse and rewarding careers available within the Air Corps. Through interactive sessions and informative presentations, TY Hub has been instrumental in demystifying the roles and responsibilities of our personnel, making these careers more accessible and appealing to the next generation.

Their ability to connect with students, answer their questions, and provide them with a clear understanding of what it means to serve in the Air Corps has been invaluable. By showcasing the various career paths within the Air Corps, from pilots and engineers to medical and support staff, we are able to attract talented individuals who are passionate about making a difference.”
