This year\, 82 schools received sponsorship with creative projects ranging from setting up mini-companies to produce and sell food products\, to stock market simulations and exploring gambling risks with probability-based games. The launch event provides an opportunity to showcase these inspiring initiatives and the positive impact they are having in schools and communities across the country. \n\n\n\nThis year’s theme is: ‘Smart money talks’ \n\n\n\nFinancial education gives the tools – from budgeting basics to navigating digital finance – to open conversations that can prevent anxiety and mistakes. DESCRIPTION:The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) is pleased to announce that following a successful pilot involving over 80 schools and Youthreach centres\, Our Money\, Our Future will return for the 2025/2026 school year and will now be an annual programme. \n\n\n\nOur Money\, Our Future is a CCPC sponsorship initiative aligned with Global Money Week(GMW). It supports post-primary schools and Youthreach centres in developing creative\, student-led financial literacy projects. \n\n\n\nSave the date: Selected applicants will be invited to showcase their projects at GMW2026 on March 11\, 2026\, at a prominent Dublin venue. Our aim is to promote brain health\, mental well-being\, and neuroscience research\, and we are incredibly grateful to be supported by the DANA Foundation and the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS). \n\n\n\nAlongside these brilliant research presentations\, NCI’s Early Learning Initiative are looking forward to sharing the impressive work they have been doing on infant mental health and wellbeing. In the lead up to today’s busy event\, NCI’s Psychology Department\, in collaboration with ELI\, had the wonderful opportunity to work with local Transition Year (TY) students. In a series of exciting workshops\, these students were able to engage with our staff and learn all about the brain\, and at this event\, they will display their own research posters.
